Stacey's Business Contacts

Networking, for social or business reasons, is second nature to some. It is a skill in others. I fall in that second category. It took me several job moves during my career before I realized that keeping in contact with the good people you met at your last job is not always that simple. Once your reason to spend eight or more hours per day, five days a week disappears, the bond often begins to disappear as well. It is much harder to stay in contact.

I recently joined LinkedIn, which has turned out to be a great boon. It has put me in contact with quite a number of friends that I left behind at previous employers (it also helped me learn where a few people I would never want to work with again currently work). I have also already helped a recruiter I respect a great deal connect with a friend of a friend, so there is another value in it. If you do not use LinkedIn yet, I highly recommend it. You may not be much on "social networking" sites (I'm not, myself), but this one has good, practical value.

If you do use LinkedIn, and you know me, please log in and look me up. My LinkedIn contact info can be found on the "contact" page. If you would like to know me or network with me, I again refer you to my contact page. I am always looking to meet new and worthwhile people who can bring value to my life.
