National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) (2006-present)
At NASBA, I began as a technical project manager for CPEtracking, a software product for managing CPE (Certified Professional Education) requirements for the accounting industry. I recently moved to IT as the systems designer for our SAAS (Software As A Service) group. My responsibilities, in practice, vary greatly and are tied to all technical aspects of our products, including infrastructure planning, feature design, integration design, implementations management, and disaster recovery planning. I work a great deal with Finance as well, establishing cost models for implementations, development, and future market planning. I also am currently responsible for planning product roadmaps, mentoring other technical and business professionals, and fill-in-the-blank technical expertise and planning.
Key accomplishments in the past year have included design and implementation of version 2.0 of the product, implementation of several major product add-ons, converting the product to other professional industries, and working with other departments to lay the technical and business groundwork for implementing the SAAS product model within NASBA.
In the course of performing these duties I work on a daily basis internally with executive management, as well as with numerous major clients such as individual State Boards of Accountancy, Regulatory boards from other professional practices, and Big Four and major regional accounting firms.
